Attack in London

Yesterday, at least seven people were killed and more than 48 people were injured in a terror attack in central London. Saturday, June 3, three male suspects were shot dead by the local authorities. Also, there have been 12 people arrested that bight be connected with the incident.

The Associated Press stated that the attack began on Saturday night when a white van mowed down pedestrians on the famous London Bridge. The accused then left the van and started stabbing a number of people, including a British Transport Police officer and also people at nearby restaurants in Borough Market.

The Sun’s Ben Leo has been tweeting photos and pictures from the scene, writing, “Horrific scene at London Bridge… bodies strewn over the pavement. B&Q van mounted the pavement. I feel sick.”

A different incident at Vauxhall was also investigated by the local police on Saturday night. Though the authorities have confirmed it was not related to the incident at London Bridge and Borough Market.

BBC reporter Holly Jones was on the bridge at the time of the attack. She said the van was driven by a man, and the vehicle was “probably traveling at about 50 miles an hour”.

The attack comes less than two weeks after a suicide bomber exploded a device at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, on May 22, killing 22 people and injuring 59.

Back in March, there was a man driving an SUV and he struck pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. There were four people killed and over 50 people were injured. The man, before getting out of his car, he stabbed an unarmed police officer. He was then shot by a second officer and died at the scene.

Why is this happening in London? Which message are we supposed to receive?
